Dips; do you make your own, or do you go for the store-bought kind?
Unfortunately, many of the store-bought dips contain starches, fillers, preservatives and tend to be high in saturated fat. Delicious can be healthy, I promise! This Mediterranean bean dip recipe is so delicious and easy to make you’ll be making it all the time.
Ingredients:
- 1 can (540ml) Black Beans or Red Kidney Beans (drained and rinsed)
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup tahini
- 1 garlic clove minced (or more if you like)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ½-1 tsp salt or to taste
- ¼ tsp pepper or to taste
- ½ tsp oregano
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to your food processor and blend until creamy. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
We serve it with French bread, oat and cranberry crackers, as a dip with veggies or even with some tortilla chips (yes, we eat chips). 😉
